Looks like you’ve lost the track (if you were not fast enough). Lost a Girl mp3 by London based New Young Pony Club was available for free for one day only while ago, but no worries, you can always do some old school. Jump into bus, go to record store and demand vinyl. Why? Because sometimes it’s still fun thing to do! Also needless to mention that the track is catchy, great pop song with delicious punk influence, definitely worth of bus-ride. Some might call them trendy indie hipsters, I call them awesomeness.

Great news in mailbox. World wide premiere of Melissa auf Der Maur‘s Out Of Our Minds music video is today on her site….and for my huge surprise in here also! Glad to be faster than pitchfork on this. Mass music media; you loose. Once again, I can’t describe myself well enough to say how impatiently I’ve been waiting for new album/multimedia/shortfilm project and now there’s finally more moving and sounding visuals from it. Words from Melissa’s email:

This Music video was directed by Tony Stone, and shot over three nights of pouring rain. We had a lot of fun and wouldn’t take NO for an answer, so we made our own Fire Balls Fly. It’s live on my site, but hosted by everyone’s friend named Apple, and streaming on Quick Time…. ever heard of it? It is the 21st Century and computer Applications Host and support Music Video Premieres. OOOM is made to Connect, so all Glue is good Glue!

Video looks awesome and in fact, all who knows me well, might note there’s a small bitter sweet twist in it.

Finally new noises from upcoming A Place To Bury Strangers album, Exploding Head. I was lucky to see these guys live at Helsinki last month and it was absolutely the loudest gig I have ever attended. The sound wall of the overdriven guitars was simply HUGE. I wasn’t prepared and it sort of knockned me out. I highly recommend to use earplugs if you are going to see these Brooklyn volume maximalists on stage. The name of their own Death By Audio effects pedals factory is taken very seriously.
